Booking and payment

How do I book an excursion?
Three ways: message us on WhatsApp at +20 120 340 4919, use the booking form (it prepares your WhatsApp message), or book in the Hurghada For You mobile app (App Store and Google Play).
What information do I need to give?
The excursion, your preferred date, the number of adults and the age of any children, the name of your hotel and your name. We then confirm availability, the pick-up time and the final price.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible, especially during school holidays and for excursions that only run on certain days (Cairo and Luxor by bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Marsa Alam on Fridays). For daily activities, booking the day before is often possible depending on availability.
How does payment work?
Payment terms are given by your advisor when you book. Also bring some cash for extras on site (drinks, souvenirs, photos, tips).
Are prices per person?
Yes, unless stated otherwise. Some offers are shown for 2 people (stays in Cairo, Luxor, Siwa, Fayoum, the White Desert, private catamaran) or per vehicle (transfers): it is always stated on the page.
Where can I see all the prices?
In our price list, which groups every excursion by category, and on each trip page.
Can I book several excursions at once?
Yes, and we recommend it: we help you build a balanced programme (sea, desert, culture) around your dates and hotel.

Cancellation and changes

Can I cancel my excursion?
Yes. Without insurance, you get a full refund if you cancel 10 days before the activity.
What is the Hurghada_foryou cancellation insurance?
Optional cancellation insurance is offered by our advisors with each booking. It costs the equivalent of 10% of your quote.
Can the programme of an excursion be changed?
No programme changes are possible on the day of the activity. For any special request, contact us before booking.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Boat trips may be moved or changed if the wind or sea conditions require it: safety comes first. We let you know and offer a solution.

Transfers and pick-up

Are hotel transfers included?
Yes, for most excursions the return transfer from hotels in Hurghada is included.
My hotel is in El Gouna, Makadi or Sahl Hasheesh: is that possible?
Yes, with a transfer supplement for 1 to 3 people: El Gouna €20, Makadi €15, Sahl Hasheesh €10. The exact amount is shown on each trip page.
What time will I be picked up?
The pick-up time depends on where your hotel is; it is confirmed after booking. Please be ready at reception a few minutes before.
Do you offer airport transfers?

What are the children's prices for Cairo and Luxor?
For day trips: €15 supplement for ages 0-4, 50% off for ages 5-7, adult price from age 8.
Are there minimum ages?

My child gets scared during the activity: will I be refunded?
For some activities, such as swimming with dolphins in a pool, no refund is possible if the child no longer wants to take part on site. Tell us about your child before booking and we will advise you.

Preparing your excursion

What should I bring for a sea trip?
Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, a towel, a photo of your passport on your phone, a camera (ideally waterproof) and some cash for extras.
Why do I need a photo of my passport?
It is requested at checkpoints at the port and on the road for many excursions. A photo on your phone is usually enough; for Cairo, Luxor and stays, bring your passport.
What should I wear for a desert safari?
Closed shoes, comfortable clothes, sunglasses and a scarf or turban against the dust (sold on site). In winter, bring a jacket for the evening.
Is snorkeling equipment provided?
Yes, on our sea trips that include snorkeling, the equipment is provided and staff are there to help.
Do I need to know how to swim?
Not to enjoy the islands and the beach. For snorkeling, life jackets are available. For diving, you need to be comfortable in the water. The semi-submarine lets you see the reef without getting wet.

Sea trips

Which island should I choose?
Orange Bay for the turquoise lagoon, Mahmya for peace and quiet, Paradise for the atmosphere and the sunset, Hula Hula for the price. Our comparison: the best islands in Hurghada.
Will I definitely see dolphins?
At sea, dolphins are wild: they are often there, but never guaranteed. The show and the pool guarantee the encounter. Learn more.
Is lunch included on the boats?
On most sea days (Orange Bay, Hula Hula, dolphins, diving, Paradise, Mahmya), a buffet lunch and soft drinks are included. Semi-private and private options state what is included.
Can I book a private boat?
Yes: private catamaran, private speed boat or semi-private, for a birthday, a proposal or simply to be on your own.
I have never dived: can I try?
Yes, the diving day offers a supervised discovery with two dives of about 15 minutes, 6 metres maximum.

Cairo, Luxor and stays

Can I see the Pyramids in one day from Hurghada?
Yes: departure at night (between midnight and 2 am), visit of the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and a museum, return in the evening. By bus, mini van or private car. Compare the options.
Which language do the guides speak?
Most of our cultural trips are guided in French, and the guide's language is stated on each page. Ask us on WhatsApp for an English-speaking guide: we will tell you what is available on your dates.
What is the difference between bus, mini van and private car?
The bus is the cheapest option, in a large group. The mini van limits the group to about 8 travellers. The private car is just for you and your family or friends.
Do you offer stays of several days?
Yes: Cairo 3 days, Luxor 2 days with a balloon flight, Nile cruise, Siwa, Fayoum and the White Desert. See our stays.

Visa, weather and phone

Do I need a visa to visit Egypt?
Most visitors need a tourist visa, which you can get online before you travel on the official website visa2egypt.gov.eg (e-visa) or on arrival at Hurghada airport for many nationalities, including the UK, the EU and the US. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your arrival date. Always check the official requirements for your nationality.
How much does the Egyptian visa cost?
Allow about US$30 for a single-entry tourist visa (paid in foreign currency at the airport, or online for the e-visa). Fees were revised in 2026: check the exact amount on the official website visa2egypt.gov.eg before you travel, and avoid intermediary websites that add fees.
How long is the visa valid?
The tourist visa lets you stay 30 days in Egypt. The e-visa must be used (entry into the country) within 90 days of issue. For longer stays, there is a multiple-entry visa or an extension on site.
What is the weather like in Hurghada during the year?
Sunny and dry almost all year. On average (maximum air temperature / sea temperature):
MonthsAirSea
December – February21 – 23 °C21 – 23 °C
March – April25 – 29 °C22 – 23 °C
May – June32 – 35 °C25 – 27 °C
July – August35 – 37 °C28 – 29 °C
September – October31 – 34 °C27 – 28 °C
November26 – 28 °C25 °C
Evenings are cool in winter, especially in the desert: bring a jacket. The wind often blows, which makes the summer heat easier to bear. More in our guide the best time to visit Hurghada.
When is the best time to come?
April-May and October-November offer the best balance: pleasant heat and a warm sea. Summer is ideal for the sea, winter for cultural trips (Cairo, Luxor).
SIM card or eSIM: which is best in Egypt?
We recommend a local SIM card: it is much cheaper than a travel eSIM for the same amount of data. You can buy one at Hurghada airport or, often cheaper, in the operators' official shops in town (Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat / e&, WE) with your passport. Just check that your phone is unlocked. An eSIM is handy if you want to be connected as soon as you land, but it costs more.
Will my phone plan work in Egypt?
Egypt is outside the EU and most roaming bundles: calls and data are often charged at a high rate. Turn off mobile data abroad before you leave and use hotel Wi-Fi or a local SIM card.
